Additional information General
In June 2014 he was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus [SLE], also known as lupus, an autoimmune disease in which the body's own defence systems attack healthy tissue, The condition also affected his skin, his kidneys and his blood, and in September 2014 he announced he had to put his career temporarily on hold to undergo treatment. He returned to competition at the 2015 World Winter University Games in Granada, Spain, where he claimed the silver in super G. "After a long recovery and a difficult summer, where I had to start first knowing the unknown, my disease, being able to compete is already a reward. [The condition] is a travel companion. Directly it does not affect me, indirectly yes. I have to think about controlling it to avoid an acute outbreak." (, 10 Sep 2016;, 06 Feb 2015)

He has also studied business administration at the University of Andorra. (, 10 Sep 2016;, 01 Apr 2015)
