o    The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Notification No. 51 of 2016

 


Notwithstanding item 3, sub-paragraph 1, paragraph 1 of Article 69 of the 「Radio Waves Act」, pursuant to item 3 of Article 35 of the 「Special Act on Support for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games」, we officially announce that the following have been designated as “persons who participate in the Games or pre-Games period, as designated by the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games” who may be exempted from paying a spectrum application fee.

Persons Eligible for Spectrum Application Fee Exemption


Any foreign corporation, group or individual that participates in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (hereinafter the “Games”) or Games related pre-competition period that falls under any of the following subparagraphs:


1.    Athletes 
2.    International Olympic Committee (IOC) / International Paralympic Committee (IPC) 
3.    National Olympic and Paralympic Committees (NOCs / NPCs)
4.    International Federations / Federations 
5.    Organizing Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs) related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games before and after the competition
6.    Press (media), broadcasters or sponsors  recognized by POCOG 
7.    Any other foreign corporation, group or individual closely related to the preparation/operation of the Games or a Games related event that requires spectrum application fee exemption

 

 

Supplementary Provision
This notification is effective as of December 20, 2016
