Omega is part of Swatch Group, the world's largest watch and jewellery maker. The Swiss brand has distinguished itself with the quality and innovation of its timepieces since 1848 but has also established a reputation as one of the world's leading sports timekeepers.
In PyeongChang, OMEGA will serve as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games for the 27th time since 1932. OMEGA will be delivering timing and scoring services for every sport with the help of more than 280 professional timekeepers and data handlers. It will be deploying more than 100 tons of timekeeping, scoring and data-handling equipment including around 180 kilometres of copper and fibre-optic cable. Altogether, the OMEGA team will measure and record more than more than 380'000 different times, distances and scores. These results will determine the gold, silver and bronze medal winners in every discipline. OMEGA will be bringing its timekeeping and data handling competence both to the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
