The major cultural assets and tourist attractions are Jeongseon Auraji and Jeongseon Arirang.

  • Jeongseon Auraji

    It is a pier in Jeongseon, located 19.4 km from Jeongseon-eup. It was named “Auraji”, which sounds similar to "coming together" in Korea, since the pier is at the spot where the two streams merge together. The scenery at the place is magnificent with beautiful mountains and the stream. The two streams that join in a river at Auraji are both from Daegwallyeong mountains, but greatly differ in characteristics.

  • Jeongseon Arirang Market

    It is a traditional market located in Jeongseon. Many tourists are visiting this market now it is easily accessible through Jeongseon Arirang train that departs from Seoul. It offers a variety of wild vegetables, herbs, potatoes, deodeok(mountain herb), garlic and many other foods. In addition to the various vegetables grown in the local area, there are agricultural products such as red pepper, bellflower, potato, garlic, etc. Since most of them are grown directly at farmhouses, fresh products can be purchased at low prices.
